Taranis has raised over $100M from leading VC investors and is being led by a professional team with deep experience in agriculture, drones, and AI. 

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and sharp person to join our team in the Director of Business Development role. This role reports to our Chief Commercial Officer, Mike DiPaola to develop strategic partnerships and special projects while working in concert with our President, Ofir Schlam, who oversees the long-term strategy and innovation for the company. 

The ideal candidate has both commercial and financial analysis experience with business models, corporate contracts, planning, and project management. This is a senior role with significant growth potential within the organization.


  • Refine a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and potential uses
  • Develop and steward pipeline of strategic partnerships with path to commercialization
  • Lead projects and processes that cultivate strong partnerships with revenue potential
  • Promote the company’s products/services
  • Provide trustworthy feedback for product advancement


  • Proven record of success as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
  • Experience in agricultural inputs & the retail value chain: Crop Protection; Seeds; Fertilizers.
  • High level of business acumen and excellent communication skills, particularly in written and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Exceptional program management and planning skills
  • Proficiency analytical tools & financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in English, Portuguese is a plus
  • Market knowledge in Ag Business and Ag Tech
  • Masters in business administration (MBA); Advanced degrees in agronomy or relevant fields.
