Bar Veinstein was named Chief Executive Officer of Taranis in January 2021. Prior to joining Taranis, he served as President of Ex Libris. Under his leadership, Ex Libris became a rapidly growing $200 million global SaaS business. Bar joined Ex Libris in 2010 as senior vice president of cloud solutions to lead the transformation of Ex Libris’ products and business to SaaS. Before joining Ex Libris, Bar spent twelve years at NICE Systems (a leading CRM software company traded on NASDAQ) in senior product management and marketing leadership roles. Raised in Israel, Ofir is fourth-generation to a family of farmers. He began his professional career at the age of 19, while fulfilling his military service in an elite technological unit of the Prime Minister’s Office. In this role, he developed and led groundbreaking technology for classified projects while managing an R&D department of 15 software engineers. Ofir earned a B.Sc. in Math & Computer Science, with honors, and a M.Sc in cryptography.
Opher was appointed as CFO at Taranis in April 2019 and brings over 10 years of accounting and finance experience. Prior to joining Taranis, he served as Vice President of Finance at Cyren, a publicly traded company managing the accounting and finance departments. Opher previously held public accounting roles at EY, managing an assurance team focused on technology public entities and startups. He holds a degree in economics and accounting from the University of Haifa, and an MBA from the Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University.
Eli is a software architecture and R&D expert with wide experience in software development for meteorological systems. Eli has eight years of experience in the IDF and in hi-tech companies including Symbionix where he was a software engineer. Eli has developed forecasting systems for the Navy that are still in use today and for which he received an award from the chief of the Navy. He has a B.Sc. in Physics.
Michael J. DiPaola
Michael J. DiPaola was named General Manager of North America & Vice President of Sales in March 2020. Prior to joining Taranis, he served in senior leadership positions within the agriculture industry with companies such as Syngenta, Southern States Cooperative, Farmers Edge, and FarmWizard. Mike has extensive experience in commercial management, sales, marketing, finance, and information technology. He has worked in Crop Protection, Seeds, and Ag Tech across a wide variety of regions and crops. Avi brings over 20 years of professional experience in global operations. For many years, Avi managed construction and deployment projects of radio base stations for cellular operators, in different locations in the world. Later he entered the renewable energy market, starting with deployment of solar systems, and most recently worked at an early stage startup as VP operations, developing and distributing solar systems in emerging markets. Avi has a BSc. and MBA degrees. He is married, has 3 kids, and enjoys running for hobby.
Jedidiah Kiesel was appointed VP Product in April 2020. Prior to joining Taranis, he gathered close to 20 years of product management and marketing experience in B2C as well as B2B companies both for start ups such as Better Place, Lemonade and Freightos as well as for big companies such as Nokia, SAP, Microsoft & Cisco. His work experience spans a variety of geographies as he has worked in Germany, the US, and Israel. Ayelet was appointed VP of People in Taranis in February 2019 and brings over 10 years of experience in full-cycle, global HR processes, from both corporate and startup companies. Before joining Taranis, Ayelet led the HR at Spot.io, recently acquired by NetApp. Prior to working in the tech industry, Ayelet gained extensive clinical therapeutic experience. Over the last 20 years, Gershom has held several positions leading R&D efforts in the fields of computer vision and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Taranis, he was the CTO and co-founder of ClearVuze, which developed autonomous drone solutions based on scene understanding. Previously, he was the CTO and co-founder of Omek Interactive, a Human-Computer Interaction company, which was acquired by Intel in 2013. Following that acquisition, Gershom remained at Intel for 3 years as a Principal Engineer, where he was responsible for the technology roadmap and overall algorithms development of the PerC software group. He is an inventor on over 25 issued patents.
Gershom earned his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, and his B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.
